The Women of TOCCOA
We started as a woman founded and owned business. We quickly realized we were naturally finding people and companies to work with from very diverse backgrounds. Read about some of the stories below.

President & Founder
Stephanie Roehm

Head Seamstress
Candace
Candace is a 70 year old married mother of two adult girls. Born in Stuttgart, Germany, her military parents adopted her at two weeks old. She graduated from NTSU with a degree in home economics and taught school for 3 years. She also was the Vice President of Gail Flags & Golf Course Accessories, a family owned business in Ft. Worth for many years, digitizing designs, running embroidery machines, designing and sewing custom flags for golf courses throughout Texas and the US.
Since retiring, she works on her lifelong passion for oil painting. She joined TOCCOA as a collaborator and enjoys the purpose and mission of the Company, leading the seamstress efforts since day one.

Seamstress
Madia
Madia is a fashion designer and illustrator. Originally from Virginia, she is the youngest of three and grew up travelling and living in many states and countries around the world.
Madia graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a B.F.A in Fashion Design. Passionate about giving back, you can often find Madia volunteering at her church in Desoto and non profit organisations around the community. She has one son who also shares similar love for travelling and exploring new adventures. Madia joined the TOCCOAgoods team in late 2023 and is excited about the purpose and mission of the Company.

Seamstress
Karen
Karen grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. She has been in Fort Worth since 1984. She has been married for 38 years. She has a daughter, Allison, who is 36 and a son, Steven, who is 32. She also has one granddaughter, Jade, who is 8 years old.
Karen gained a love of sewing in her 7th grade home economics class. Over the last 40 years, she has increased her skills in sewing and, since retiring in 2022, her love of sewing has only increased now that she is able to devote more time to her craft.
Karen has a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University in Liberal Arts. For 19 years, she led a full career as an executive assistant at Trinity Bible Church in Willow Park, Texas.
She loves the process of having a vision and carrying that vision to completion through sewing a garment, creating home furnishings, and alterations. She believes in TOCCOA’s desire to give new life to beautiful furs and looks forward to doing all she can as a seamstress for TOCCOA!

Seamstress
Carol
Carol is a retired high school secretary. She's been happily married to her husband Robb for 40 years. She has 3 children and 7 grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her grandkids as well as sewing and doing other creative projects.
